||||
The Department was established in 1952-53 with Late K.A. Hameed Ph.D. (Berlin) as its first Chairman. Dr. Waheed Ali Farooqui, Dr. S.A. Rahim and Mr. Fareeduddin Shaikh followed later. The Department has been imparting instructions in almost all branches of Philosophy with specialization in such diverse subjects as Philosophy of Science, Sufism, Philosophy of Language, Existentialism and Logic, etc.
